Gosh...how sad....and frustrating. I just can't see how people can believe that taking these "natural" foods can get rid of tumours. And there are so many different ones and theories....which one would you choose...or are they all supposed to work? If only it were that simple.

All this adds to your stress as well and you don't need that, although you must have been an amazing support to your ex through all that.

Hope all goes well with the new lawyers.

Ruth, that is exactly the mixture her sister and friend were trying to force my ex to go long with.
they wanted her taken off the morphine, which they blamed for killing her. can you believe it?
anyway..the story came to a close early this evening.
She passed away, and may God bless her, and keep her.

me too WL - I eat mostly organic food and try hard to avoid chemicals, preservatives and so on but the Big C is something you don't mess with I my view. Of course we hear all the anecdotal tales of the miracle cures from eating something simple - I had a friend pushing hard for me to take large quantities of baking soda mixed with maple syrup everyday for the guaranteed cure!!! She was quite annoyed with me when I refused.

Great news on your test results, Winterlong, so happy for you.
Gee, the other 'stuff' sounds messy. I think you'd have to be very strong willed to forgo the tried and tested treatment regime and go the natural remedy route. Of course it is a personal decision but when you're dealing with the bit* h that is breast cancer, non-toxic can also mean non-effective!

Look I'm all for holisitc remedies as a support to the immune system.
As a cure for cancer..not so much.

WOW that's a heck of a bad situation for all concerned. Problem is - how we treat cancer is totally a grown up decision - I had a close friend whose sister was dx. She was a total health remedy addict - before dx she lived at health shops, naturopaths etc. After dx it became worse and she refused all conventional treatment incl surgery and spent literally over a hundred grand on natural stuff - she passed away within 2 years. Sad to see people do that but their decision and she wouldn't listen to anyone and some tried very hard. Confronting for you to see her too.

ooh yeah. still floating today.
stress has been amplified due to...
remember I related story of my ex's foolish partner?
the one with triple neg cancer...
decided on cayenne pepper drinks rather than chemo (as you do! )
then it cam back..
then she had chemo..
then she stopped chemo for juices....and hemp oil(nothing wrong with trying and using that I reckon) anyway..
then went downhill fast..brought back from the brink with chemo in Bendigo Hospital, and rads for pain...
then stopped chemo (her own decision)
then..
weeks later..
Castlemaine Hospital for pain..
plummeted down fast.
went up there a few days to support my ex.
end is nigh. was harrowing to see her. we sang and played for her..she seemed to like that. (half expected her to correct me on wrong lyrics etc! )
ex suffering guilt for not forcing her to do/stay on chemo; (nothing he could have done!)
anger that she left such a mess;(no instructions for burial or formal will); didn't try everything to prevent it;
grief and sadness; guilt because he wanted to leave her but then she got cancer..then he wanted to leave but it came back..
but he does love her.
how is that for a complicated mess eh?
plus greedy crazy long lost family circling in...yuk!
all in all..
yeah...life happening all over the place!
re my work:
Legal Aid can't help with work troubles unless/until they fire me.
They recommended one of those Worksafe Lawyer specialists. I've chosen Zaparis family. recommended by work injury sufferers. Let's see how we go.
