Hi Jane, does inconclusive include negative? I reckon there is a link between my mother and myself but they say negative to testing.

Thanks Jane..will pass this on to a friend who has just undergone testing...no results yet though so they may not be through in time.

Alison Witchard (PhD candidate) in conjunction with Pink Hope is conducting two surveys as part of her research project. Her work aims to investigate the lived experiences and challenges encountered by women at risk of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer and men at risk of hereditary breast cancer. Survey results will be made available to Pink Hope which will allow Pink Hope to better understand the needs of the high risk community. If everyone who has undergone genetic testing could complete a survey that would be much appreciated. There are two surveys currently being launched; one for individuals tested as being at high-risk of hereditary breast/ovarian cancer (predominantly BRCA1/2 mutation carriers) and one for individuals who have undergone the testing for BRCA1/2 however have received “inconclusive” test results. These surveys are voluntary and are anonymous (participants do, however, have the option of leaving their contact details if they wish to partake in further research).

This information will help Pink Hope better understand the unmet needs of the high risk community we serve.
