Re: cording or axillary web syndrome
Is your physio a lymphodema specialist? If not I would look for someone who specialises in breast cancer and the lymphatic drainage system. I had cording and my physio got rid of it for me but I still have trouble lifting my arm to it's full extent. I need to do more exercises to fix that.

If you go to search at the top of the page and then put "cording" in you will find all the posts about it....lots of reading and discussions about it there....good luck!

Hi
I've had the same treatments as you have and I did get minor cording problems. The exercise of choice was to find a spot where two walls meet (the only spot I could find was in the shower as furniture obscured all others) and raise your arms just above your head and really lean into the corner, slowly increasing the pressure. You should be able to feel the pressure under your arms. Repeat the exercise a few times.
I thought that cording resolved itself a few months after surgery, are you sure it is not a collection of lymph fluid causing lymphodema? Mine collects in the axilla and I have fortnightly sessions with my Physiotherapist who is a lymphodema drainage expert.
