New to forum saying Hi

She is a gutsy lady indeed ,she had her hair coloured last week and this week will behaving the port taken out as she won't be needing it any more,thanks to all the lady's for all your well wishes.

Wow ,Dawn went out without her hat on for the first time to the Camden survivors group 10th anniversary dinner ,she is as I say to her "out there girl" soon she will put some colour in .

That's excellent Peter. She sounds like she is getting on with her life. It's good that she has found a group as well where she can be with others who have had similar problems. This forum is a godsend to me but if she doesn't like online things then it's great that she has found something similar in the 'real' world.

Dawns skin is much better now,and is now only on the Genox tablets,she is starting to go to yoga classes and hanging out with the local survivors of breast cancer group, so far she has been to the meeting a movie and a walk in the botanical gardens.

Dawn is all finished with the radiation now she did get blisters under the arm we are using some jello mesh dressings and pads ,I have been playing nurse with the creaming and dressing,any tips with this part of the blister care?

So glad you had such wonderful staff. You know I went every day to have my rads and the same girls were on reception, never once did they act as though they remember me! They spent the whole time talking amongst themselves and we had to break their conversation to check in.

Very hurtful at the time!

Hope Dawn is coping well, with those girls there - has to help.

She is very lucky to have you by her side.

Thank you all for the condolances on the passing of my father in law, Dawn is at the three quarter point of her treatment now she is a little red in the area but the creames we got seem to help.I would like to say how nice the staff are at the Campbelltown Cancer Clinic as on the day of the funneral thay came in early to give her the treatment so we werent rushed
