Thanks girls, the hernia shouldn't need treatment Im getting a care plan drawn up for 5 sessions with an exercise physiologist as I have had back trouble also. With all my surgeries and arthritic lower back I'm considered too complex for a standard fitness instructor/therapist :ouch:

Saw my GP for a follow up tonight. Infection has cleared. Nothing showed up on Ultrasound :v_happy:
I do have a small hernia in my chest...possibly caused by exercise physio gave me to stabilise my back using rubber band?

oh wow Chris. Not what you need :( Hope it continues to to improve, but keep on it. You've had enough, but I do appreciate you attitude :hugs:

Hard to know why these things happen sometimes - maybe a weakness in the area after surgery that allows infection that is circulating in your body to take hold. Not long till term holidays and so much family happiness to enjoy. take care xxx

Wow Sue. So you have had an infection appear years after surgery too? It's hard to understand why isn't it.
No abscess found on ultrasound The redness seems to be clearing finally! See the GP again next Wednesday to check all clear ( plus a few other things)

So pleased your GP onto it, hope you are getting some relief with antibiotics.
I recently had an infection in my armpit on surgery side that appeared overnight on a weekend when my GP not on roster, was relieved to just see someone to provide meds and antibiotics to ease the pain, certainly helps reduce the stress levels until you see your regular GP.
thinking of you

Thanks for the update Chris. I was concerned about the strength of the antibiotics but it sounds like you're in good hands. I hope it clears up quickly.

Saw my trusted GP tonight. Stronger antibiotics prescribed but he also examined more closely and wants an ultrasound done as he can feel something. He suspects necrosis or abscess or cyst. Asked if I had bumped my "breast" I did when I fell and hurt my ribs last year but that was July.
Back to GP next week to check results and progress

There is definite heat in the red patch as per infection but it isn't clearing quickly. Need to see my regular gp. He will refer on if needed. I had to take whoever was on on Saturday. It's my tram flap reconstructed breast so no breast tissue remains. only 2-3 nodes were removed on that side.
The back was investigated two years ago and osteoarthritis was found. It s easing solely with physio I'm not panicking yet. Still working as sitting around doesn't help. I'm better moving just not bending, twisting, sitting lol
I will keep an eye on things and follow up if I don't improve Thanks ladies :hugs:

Hi Chris. Sorry to hear of your dramas. Is it on your breast cancer side and not sure if you had nodes removed but if yes it could also be lymphoedema in your chest. Doesn't always just affect the arm.

I agree with Christine, I would see a specialist Chris. I hope it has cleared up but if not as below. :hugs:
