hi all

The first few days in hospital were awful!! throwing up and couldnt keep anything down. By day 5 in there i started to feel better. Started eating small bits of food and the pain meds started controlling the pain more.

Day 4 I was able to get in the shower by myself and open my bowels reasonably normally :) District nurses are helping me with drains etc everyday and i also have help with showering :)

Was in there for a week. Got out on the 6th of july it was so weird to be back out in the world after being in hospital for so long...had followup last thursday with my surgeon and he is really happy with how Im healing!!! Implant is so soft!!!

Onward and upward

I had a nipple reconstruction and a tattoo. The nipple was very large (poke your eyes out large) but it soon went down. Now four years later it's barely not there but there is something and I think that's enough for me. As to the tattoo it's the only thing I had to pay extra for and I wouldn't waste my money again. My nipples are very pale and as tattoos fade it didn't last long at all. Others with darker nipples probably tell a different story.

thanks ladies!!! feeling super excited about it all. Most of all looking to move forward with life and have slightly less to do with BC for a little while :)

will be having other side exchange after expansions on the left side but thats usually not a big deal. any thoughts on tattoed nipples versus having nipples constructed??
