Yes Jan...the mind is pretty amazing.
When I am stressed I lose my appetite completely. How does that work?
I wish I could switch that button on when I am trying to lose weight.

jan, thats a shame about your holiday!
Before I had my CT scan results, I had pain in my back, on the left side, right where
the lung nodule would have been. Have also had a pain under my right breast and thought
that was liver mets, as per the cyst there.
Funny, no pain for a few days now.

Thanks Jezza, Well, our trip is off my hubby was just too busy
to take time off. Oh well soon I hope! I want to just camp
by a babbling brook with our dog & soak up the quiet & peace! lol
Gosh Jezza, I know what you mean about your throat, I was goin
mad last week imagining I had mets all over me.
Goes to show how powerful our minds are.
Now if we could just use all that power in a positive way! lol
cheers, Jan

Amazing how those aches and pains vanish with clear results!
I had myself convinced I had a growth in my throat. I could really FEEL it every time I swallowed.
Clear results and it disappeared. I just suddenly realised it was gone. I often think about that. I had phoned my specialist and he was going to refer me to a throat guy but said "Just wait until your results come in"
Anyway Jan....great news...enjoy your break.

Hi girls,
Well it all went well. My other CA 15 was 36 up one from 35
He said that it could have been like 35.4 & they take it to 36, so staying
stable which is better than all going up. He said my scans were very good
the best they have been. Nothing there to see.
I get nervous about my blood & he gets nervous he said about my feet &
hands. The Xeloda has to be watched closely, that's why he likes to see me
every 3 weeks. Evrything is going well so far, the first time in over l year
I have a 6 week break! My veins will be pleased! lol
thank you girls for the support!

Oh Jezza yowyow & girl,
I have just got one of my CEA tests back 3.1 yeahhhhh! down from 3.4
so back in normal range again.
I will post the CA15 later when it comes in.
I see my oncol today 3.00pm
It is really interesting how these oncols work.
mine is very big on tests. He will not hold back on anything.
He also treats your anxiety & is just so kind.
Trouble is all these blood tests make me anxious!
yowyow if you feel well & your tests are good dont' worry
about the blood tests.Keep positive!
thank you so much for your support it has
meant so much to me! this forum is a wonderful
place,you know you are understood.
God Bless everyone!

Jan
Wishing Wednesday comes and goes quickly!
Your onc is obviously keeping a close eye on you which is good.
With the Xeloda you are on he is probably being extra vigilant.
Heres hoping for good results for you.....a bit longer between blood tests would be wonderful. Lets trust thats not too far away.
Positive vibes coming from all of us!

Just saw my surgeon, and asked if I would be doing the blood tests. She said they are not done very often in Australia any more as the results can go up and down with no clear reason, so I wont be doing them. She did however say that they are fairly accurate for prostrate and bowel cancer. So Unless another reason comes along I will just be have a yearly CT.
So I guess, all docs have their different opinions with this.
