Thanks Judy, I tried to block it out and not let it spoil my travels before surgery to a festival. I was determined to enjoy myself and did.

I hope you're doing well with your chemo. :hugs:

Oh Janette you naughty girl not telling us (yes I know you don't have to, but.....) Thank goodness for a ruptured implant which means they caught it early. I'm so sorry you have had this worry hanging over your head and I wish you the best for your next scan.

we all smoked back in the day - scary that after 34 years abstinence it comes back to bite you! I gave up before getting pregnant so that was only 20 years ago.

Thanks everyone,
It's non small cell carcinoma (adenocarcinoma). I stopped smoking 34 years ago (I smoked for 10 years). It's not related to the BC.

I saw specialist today and surgeon last Friday. I have a followup in 2 months with a CT scan.

It was found incidentally after a CT to check my ruptured implant.
:hugs:

Like everyone else on this thread, I am so sorry that this turned out to be lung cancer. How did you find out you had a suspicious nodule? Not sure if you have routine tests still? It is such shock after all this time but I was relieved to read no chemo. I know little about lung cancer but I know you will be very well informed by the time you have your follow up with your specialist. I hope he is ready to be thoroughly questioned!

It is a blow but with clear nodes and margins I guess it is as good an outcome as you could wish for. Just a bummer that you have to go through all this again.

Hugs

Jezza xx

Sorry to hear this Janette.was it related to BC? Large cell or small cell? Will there be follow up treatment? Or still waiting for answers?
My husband is visiting his brother in the UK who has small cell lung cancer (not smoking related)
He has perked up with DH. Visit and is on a trial drug.

Lung Cancer after BC

I guess I should let you know I had the upper lobe of my lung removed for a suspicious nodule. It was lung cancer but doing very well. Clear margins and nodes clear.
