Hi Molly
We've been where you are right now and know the feelings that come with diagnosis. It is a roller coaster for a while but it gets better. Caught early BC is very treatable and hopefully cureable. Hang in there.
I found the public system very good.

Hi CiCiJu and welcome,
Sometimes another brand of the drug has improved symptoms for some members in the past. I hope you find some improvement in your symptoms. Certainly discuss it with your medical team.

Chris, I don't know whether it is an age related or a sign of the times but I also feel surrounded by so many people with ca diagnosis'. I'm so sad about what Judy went through, and never a complaint. Also other forum members doing it tough as well. I'm so sorry you're family is going through such a...

Re: oh heck
Good to see you post Jan. The bag seems better than the symptoms you have suffered in the past. I hope it goes very well and eases your pain. Good that it isn't cancer. I lost half my lung with lung cancer and have emphysema but doing well with the help of inhalers. I haven't smoked for 35 years but...

Re: Lynch’s Syndrome and Breast Cancer link
Hi snd welcome to the forum. As Ruth said we can't offer medical advice but try not to panic. It's human nature to worry, but you'll know soon enough. I'm sorry to hear of your family history, but a friend lost her Mum and Grandmother to BC and did get it at 60 ish but she is 87. Let us know how you...

Re: Superficial Lump
Thanks for the update, sounds good so far. I had fibro cystic disease and it was painful. Hurt when I walked at times.
Good to get the checks done. The worry alone can drag you down but a FBC is good. Hoping for good results from the Breast Surgeon.

Re: Superficial Lump
Hi Tam Tam, Welcome to the forum. I'm glad your Dr has referred you to a specialist. It sounds unusual but needs investigation as lumps do. Possibly a fine needle aspiration to determine if there is fluid. It sounds like you are in good hands. Try not to panic. I used to get cysts and they are very ...

Ive had nipple recon and no problems with mine. Compared with other surgeries it was easy. Surely it wouldnt take much to fix. Try not to be too downhearted.

Hi Judy, Thanks so much for the update. I was thinking of sending you a message asking how you were. I see stuff on FB but not the whole story and I really worry. Gosh youve had a rough time. I'm glad that you have pinned down the cause of the leukemia. Knowledge is power. I think they are researchi...

Update on Metastatic Breast Cancer in Australia The Forgotten Women There is little public acknowledgement of the fact that a significant number of women will be diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer each year in Australia, either as a first diagnosis or a recurrence of breast cancer. Hi Keely,
I appreciate your endeavours, but such a request without more information such as who is conducting the research, from what institution. Also exactly what is hoped to be achieved and how needs to be included.

Hi Steph, My veins were affected badly by intravenous anti biotics for an infection. Hopefully it won't affect you too badly long term. I guess you do what you have to do and a port can save a lot of mucking around and preserve veins. I had to have a central line with recent surgery and it wasn't a ...
