Hi Ruth,
It sure is quiet. The new registrations are all spammers these days. Accordingly we've decided to stop registrations of new users for now. Hope you are doing well.

Hi Kerri
I'm so sorry to hear about the MS and the lump, I hope the lump is nothing sinister and the MS is not too debilitating.

Hi Jezza
Good to hear from you, Im sorry to hear about the autoimmune problem I hope its not a bad one.
Make sure you all get a colonoscopy as you age, I would have had bowel cancer twice without them. A fecal occult test is not enough. Best to catch it before blood detection.

Re: It seems quiet around here
Hi Chris Thanks for checking in. Im enjoying retirement too. Seem to be busy though, 3 months volunteering at Fire Control. Forum is very quiet as are lots of forums these days including caravan and motorhome forums. I think FB and the like takes so much of our time online that other forms of social...

Re: Can breast size increase after radiotherapy?
Hi Heal, I wish I could be helpful but I don't know the answer. Do you have a breast care nurse that could advise you? No experience with rads but the skin might lose some elasticity could be the reason. Also better to be forewarned incase it does happen. You do need to hear from someone with experi...

Buffy,
My experience with the public system has been good. From others comments on radiotherapy in the public system has been quite good from memory.

Re: Postmastectomy Pain Syndrome?
Hi Helsinperth, I can't say Ive heard of symptoms as you describe that I can remember. I do think you need to follow it up through a breast clinic, or a lymphodema clinic. At least seek advice from your breast cancer specialist. Also you have a great resource in WA in Breast Cancer Care of WA. Im as...

Re: Re excision after lumpectomy- what to expect
Hi Buffy I've had a lumpectomy and 2 mastectomies. The lumpectomy wasn't very painful. My mastectomies were because I had expanders inserted. It is common to find unclear margins and have another surgery. I had the same with melanoma. Best of luck with your surgery, better to be safe, with what litt...

Hi Suzanne
Thanks so much for posting the link. Very well written, and an such an honest account of such a cruel emotional roller coaster that Christine and Sam must have faced.
I do hope Sam continues to do very well in life and her article helps others going through similar.

Re: Satellite nodules and clear margins
Hi Heal, Welcome to the forum I was horrified at the thought of mastectomy but had 2 and have never looked back. Saving the breast knowing that there could be another tumour, would have worried me too much. I think you seem to be doing your research pretty well, and hopefully you'll decide what the ...
