Where I am at...
I have just had a review with my onc and mammo and ultrasound are clear. I read the report which shows a benign calcification... apparently it has been there a while and I didn't even know. The onc stressed the benign so nothing to worry about... right? Haha, I worry about everything but I am really...

Re: We are grandparents!
What lovely names for a lovely big boy. Congratulations to you all. Being a grandparent is an amazing experience. When your own children are little there always seems something to do, whereas with grandchildren, you have all the time in the world for them. It is great to have special grandparent nam...

I will be thinking of you.
I am due for my mammo and ultrasound and the next couple of weeks. I made the appointment and the receptionist was very excited and said I would be tested on the new machine! I am pleased she was excited.

Re: My Mum
I think it is important to contact your daughter's school and have a meeting with her year advisor, the school counsellor and the principal to advise them of what is happening with your mum. Often it is the school that has to deal with the fall out that such news brings so it is best for them to be ...

Re: Chemo with young kids - any advice?
I concur with everything Ruth said, this is not a time to be standing on your digs and trying to do it all. Given that you have been offered in home help, go for it and accept all they can do for you and your family. This will become so important as the treatment progresses and the fatigue often bec...

Re: Surviving Teens
I decided at age 15 that it was very embarrassing to be seen with my mother (the sweetest woman on the planet BTW). Mum did not have her licence at that time so caught buses everywhere. This was cool when you were with your friends but not your mother! I remember saying to her one day when we had to...

Re: New breast cancer procedure helps prevent lymphoedema
Thanks, it worked that time. It is good that there is research happening to improve outcomes that have an impact on post operative recovery and possible implications of surgery, such as lymphoedema.

Thanks for the responses and the links.
Probably time to ask my onc for his latest thinking when I see him in a few weeks. He is well on top of things with clinical trials and I trust his judgement, as I have for the last seven years.
