Sorry Ruth, I took a while :ouch: :ouch: 4 weeks after surgery my son's eye is two levels under 20/20, that is not yet enough for drivers license but the surgeon expects it will pass that mark pretty easily as the full potential of sight can take up to 6 months I took a bit long :ouch: :ouch: I am n...

P.S. try and find a surgeon who doesn't require you to be in the full on face down postition for up to two weeks

My son has just had the same surgery for a full thickness macular hole (result of football injury)
Luckily we have cover but I think the total was about $5500
We were told we could wait a few months but with a 14 year old aspie.. no way!
apparently it wont get worse with waiting months
